IFK Norrköping's strong season and future plans were the focus of a dedicated TV special. Sporting director Henrik Jurelius was the main guest in a 60-minute programme aired over the weekend.

The club sits top of Superettan with 52 points from 24 games and is unbeaten in its last five matches. The recent form reads DWDWW, with a 0-0 draw against Oddevold the latest result. Jurelius spoke about the hard work behind this success. "Sorgearbete med tårar och allting, vi satt uppe till klockan 04", he said about the process following relegation.

The plan is to build a squad for Allsvenskan in 2027. Jurelius praised the club's scouting, which has found players nobody knew but who are now among the best in their positions. He also confirmed that some players on very high wages are likely to leave in the winter.

Norrköping has received bids for several players, but the sporting director stated they were not worth accepting. He also revealed SMS contact with a dream signing who "brinner jäkligt mycket" for the club. Talks are ongoing about a new contract for the team's golden gem or a potential sale.

With an eight-point lead at the summit, the goal is clear. The team's next fixture is away to Östers IF on 19 September. Fans can follow the entire push for promotion on our standings and fixtures pages.
